Compliance Support

Ensuring regulatory compliance is one of the most time consuming and complicated activities that a credit union faces.

CCUA staff regularly assists local credit unions in complying with appropriate state and federal laws and regulations governing credit union operations. Government agencies, such as the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the Massachusetts Division of Banks, the New Hampshire Banking Department, the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) require daily monitoring for developments, rulings and other changes that will impact credit unions.  CCUA staff keeps a watch on the regulatory environment to ensure that local credit unions are made aware in a timely manner of new developments.

An important dues-supported tool that houses the various releases of information and provides summaries of new laws and regulations is InfoSight, our online compliance database available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. InfoSight provides easy references for credit union personnel at all levels, from the busy CEO to the compliance officer in need of more in-depth information.
