Association staff regularly assists local credit unions in complying with state and federal laws and regulations governing credit union operations. Government agencies, such as the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the Massachusetts Division of Banks, the New Hampshire Banking Department, the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) require daily monitoring for developments, rulings and other changes that will impact credit unions. Association staff monitors the regulatory environment to ensure that local credit unions are made aware of new developments.
The Association's Compliance Hotline is available at 800-842-1242 for your compliance and operational questions.
Association-affiliated credit unions have access to two regular publications relative to compliance.
